We are looking for motivated Order Pickers to join our busy warehouse in Des Moines, Iowa. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring that products are picked efficiently and correctly for shipment. You will utilize handheld scanners and follow pick lists to locate and gather merchandise. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, energetic, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. A strong commitment to safety is essential, and you must adhere to all warehouse safety protocols. This position requires physical stamina, as you will be on your feet for most of your shift and will need to perform tasks involving moderate to heavy lifting. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory for your safety. We value teamwork and encourage a positive working atmosphere where contributions are recognized. Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus, but not required as training will be provided. Understanding the importance of accuracy in order fulfillment contributes directly to customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or scanners.
- Verify picked items against order details.
- Meet daily picking quotas and performance targets.
- Ensure proper handling and care of merchandise.
- Stage picked orders for packing and shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform tasks involving significant lifting and movement.
- Wear and utilize required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
