Our Indianapolis, Indiana facility is looking for a dedicated Material Handler to support our robust logistics operations. As a Material Handler, you will be crucial in managing the flow of goods within the warehouse, from receiving to dispatch. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts and pallet jacks, loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, and ensuring all materials are handled safely and efficiently. We place a strong emphasis on workplace safety, and all team members are required to strictly follow safety guidelines and utilize the appropriate PPE. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 70 lbs. If you are a proactive individual, a team player, and have a keen eye for detail, you will thrive in this role. Previous warehouse or forklift experience is beneficial, but we provide thorough training. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently.
- Move materials within the warehouse to designated storage or staging areas.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Inspect equipment regularly and report any maintenance needs.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding task completion and concerns.
- Contribute to a positive and productive warehouse environment.
