We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Distribution Center Associate to join our dynamic team in Houston, Texas. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient flow of goods through our state-of-the-art facility. Your responsibilities will include receiving, processing, and preparing orders for shipment. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and opportunities for advancement within our growing logistics network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and compare discrepancies.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in designated storage areas.
- Verify and document all incoming shipments.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Prepare packages for shipment, ensuring all labels are correct and clear.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the logistics team.
- Be aware of manual handling requirements, including significant Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
