Job Summary:
Our Houston, Texas facility is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our operations. You will be essential in managing the flow of goods within our warehouse, ensuring efficient movement, storage, and retrieval of inventory. This role requires operating various material handling equipment, accurately receiving and shipping products, and maintaining a well-organized stockroom. A keen eye for detail, strong physical capabilities, and a commitment to safety are crucial. You'll be a vital link in our logistics chain, contributing to the smooth operation of our supply chain. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a warehouse setting, be reliable, and possess the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with forklifts and other warehouse machinery is highly valued. We maintain a strong focus on workplace Safety, and all employees must strictly follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE. This position requires regular Lifting of materials and a good level of physical fitness.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move materials.
  • Receive and inspect incoming inventory, verifying quantities and quality.
  • Store materials in designated locations within the warehouse.
  • Pick and stage items for outbound shipments.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform regular checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and Safety.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts and reconciliation.
  • Must be capable of frequent Lifting and moving of heavy items.
  • Follow all company policies and logistics procedures.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a related warehouse role.
  • Forklift certification is a strong plus.
  • Ability to operate manual and powered warehouse equipment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices.
  • Must be able to perform tasks requiring significant physical exertion, including Lifting.
  • Willingness to adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems is beneficial.
