We are seeking an organized and efficient Receiving Clerk to join our logistics operations in Dallas, Texas. This role is critical for ensuring that all incoming shipments are accurately received, inspected, and processed into our inventory system. You will be responsible for verifying quantities, checking for damages, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams. A strong adherence to safety protocols and meticulous record-keeping are essential. This is an excellent opportunity to build a career in warehouse management and logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming freight from various carriers.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Enter received inventory data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Organize and stage incoming goods for distribution or storage.
- Maintain a clean and safe receiving area.
- Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to resolve receiving issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehousing, or logistics is required.
- Proficiency with WMS and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
