Our Minneapolis, Minnesota location is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team. This role is critical for the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods. Ensuring the safety of yourself and your colleagues is our top priority, so a strong commitment to following all safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. You will also be responsible for performing routine inspections of your forklift, maintaining organized work areas, and assisting with inventory management tasks as needed. Experience with various types of forklifts and a valid certification are essential. The ideal candidate is reliable, possesses excellent hand-eye coordination, and has a keen understanding of warehouse safety protocols. This position involves significant physical activity, including the ability to perform regular lifting of up to 50 lbs. Your efficiency and adherence to safety standards directly contribute to the smooth flow of our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Stack and arrange goods in a safe and organized manner.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure the correct use of PPE by all operators.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock replenishment.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to perform regular lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with logistics processes.
- Commitment to safety and proper PPE usage.
