Cincinnati, Ohio, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our dedicated warehouse team. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and the highest standards of safety. Your leadership will guide activities such as receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and shipping. You will manage staff schedules, provide training, and foster a positive and productive work environment. This role requires a strong understanding of logistics principles, inventory control, and warehouse management systems. You will be instrumental in implementing and enforcing safety policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and ensuring all team members are trained in proper lifting techniques and warehouse safety protocols. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. You must be capable of making sound decisions under pressure and driving continuous improvement within the warehouse. This position involves overseeing a team and requires the ability to delegate effectively. Experience with managing budgets and optimizing warehouse layout is advantageous. A commitment to accuracy and efficiency in all logistics processes is paramount. We are looking for a leader who can inspire their team and contribute to the overall success of our supply chain. Your role is critical in maintaining smooth operations and ensuring timely delivery of goods. The physical demands include the ability to perform occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities.
- Manage and develop warehouse staff, including scheduling and performance reviews.
- Oversee inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and cycle counts.
- Ensure efficient order picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Implement and enforce all safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure proper use of PPE by all warehouse personnel.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
- Monitor and optimize warehouse layout and workflows.
- Manage relationships with logistics and transportation providers.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS).
- Understanding of inventory control techniques.
- Commitment to safety and OSHA regulations, including PPE usage.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Capability for occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
