Responsibilities:
- Accurately documenting and labeling outgoing shipments.
- Coordinating with transportation carriers for pickup schedules.
- Preparing bills of lading and other shipping documents.
- Verifying shipment contents against orders.
- Operating shipping software and equipment.
- Ensuring packages are properly secured for transit.
- Maintaining a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and wearing required PPE.
- Assisting with receiving when necessary.
- Communicating any shipping delays or issues to management.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is preferred. Must have strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent attention to detail is crucial. Ability to perform moderate lifting, up to 40 lbs, on a regular basis. Must be able to stand and move around for extended periods. A commitment to workplace safety and understanding of logistics best practices are essential. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills are necessary.
