The Shipping Clerk will manage shipment documentation, coordinate with carriers, prepare packages for dispatch, and maintain the organization of the shipping area. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare outgoing shipments, including generating labels and packing slips.
- Verify shipment contents against orders and invoices.
- Schedule pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
- Inspect packages for damage and ensure proper packaging.
- Communicate with internal departments and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Assist with receiving and inventory tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
- Support overall warehouse logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics is beneficial.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations.
- Commitment to safety and willingness to use required PPE.
