Join our vibrant logistics team in New York City, New York, as a Material Handler! We are seeking hardworking individuals to support the efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from designated areas, operating material handling equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our logistics hub, ensuring materials are in the right place at the right time. We are committed to workplace safety and require all employees to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and strictly adhere to all safety protocols. This position requires physical stamina, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic warehouse setting. Prior experience with forklifts or other industrial equipment is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other materials throughout the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated storage areas, ensuring stability and safety.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following all operational guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in all areas of operation.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Follow all established safety procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Contribute to team efforts by assisting with other warehouse tasks as directed.
- Understand and follow all logistics procedures for material flow.
