We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to join our dynamic logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols. You will lead a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance management to foster a productive and safe working environment. Your responsibilities will include managing inventory, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, optimizing workflow, and enforcing company policies. We are looking for a proactive individual with strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to excellence in warehouse management. This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to address challenges that may arise in a fast-paced logistics setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing coaching.
- Ensure all warehouse operations are conducted in compliance with company safety standards and OSHA regulations, emphasizing the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Oversee inventory management, including cycle counts, stock rotation, and discrepancy resolution to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Coordinate the efficient flow of goods, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Implement and improve warehouse procedures to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Manage the scheduling and allocation of resources to meet operational demands and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, conducting regular safety inspections.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety guidelines, and the proper use of equipment.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Address employee concerns and resolve workplace issues promptly and effectively.
