We are hiring a Distribution Center Associate for our facility in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our warehouse, contributing directly to our logistics network. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will perform a variety of tasks including receiving, stocking, order picking, packing, and preparing goods for shipment. You'll operate various warehouse equipment, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure that all workflows are efficient and safe. This position requires physical stamina, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. You will be responsible for handling materials carefully, using appropriate lifting techniques, and operating machinery safely. We provide comprehensive training and all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your well-being. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Stock inventory accurately in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack customer orders with speed and precision.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including the use of PPE.
- Identify and report any operational issues or safety hazards.
- Assist in other warehouse functions as needed to support logistics operations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment (forklift certification is advantageous).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Willingness to wear required PPE at all times.
- Good physical condition and stamina for demanding tasks.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of logistics and inventory management.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
