Are you an experienced Material Handler looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity in Houston, Texas? We are seeking a proficient individual to manage the movement and storage of materials within our state-of-the-art facility. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient workflow and ensuring the timely availability of components for production and distribution. You will be responsible for operating various material handling equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and upholding rigorous safety standards. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics is essential. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and a commitment to excellence are highly valued. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting and maneuvering of materials. We provide comprehensive training on equipment operation and the mandatory use of PPE .
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Receive, identify, and count incoming materials, verifying against purchase orders or shipping documents.
- Store materials in appropriate locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, performing regular stock checks and adjustments.
- Ensure all materials are handled in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Package materials for internal or external shipment, ensuring secure and correct labeling.
- Support overall logistics operations by ensuring smooth material flow.
- Adhere strictly to all PPE requirements at all times.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role. Valid forklift operator certification is required. Demonstrated ability to operate a variety of warehouse equipment. Must be capable of heavy lifting , often exceeding 50 pounds, and performing strenuous physical tasks. Excellent knowledge of warehouse procedures and inventory control. Strong understanding of logistics principles and practices. Commitment to maintaining a high level of safety awareness. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Good communication skills. Must comply with all PPE guidelines and company safety policies.
