Responsibilities

  • Responsible for analyzing the results versus the budgets and financial forecasts of the various business units ;
  • Responsible for tracking, controlling and analyzing costs and inventories ;
  • Oversee the monthly closing process of inventory-related transactions ;
  • Review profitability analyses by product and by plant ;
  • Supervise the preparation of performance indicators and various management reports ;
  • Monitor and revise the hourly imputation rates annually ;
  • Participate in budget processes and the establishment of gross margins by business units ;
  • Monitor material purchase costs and approve factory purchase orders ;
  • Participate in the planning of inventory counts ;
  • Maintain good communication with the various stakeholders ;
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of processes ;
  • Implementation of the required internal controls and ensuring their follow-up ;
  • Participate in special projects ;
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Job Requirements

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting ;
  • CPA designation ;
  • 2 years in a similar position.

Technical skills

  • Computer skills: office and Excel in particular;
  • Skilled with ERP systems ;
  • Excellent proficiency in French (spoken and written), along with advanced proficiency in English (spoken and written), is required to support regular communications with clients and suppliers outside Quebec

Personal skills

  • Analytical skills and ingenuity ;
  • Organizational and planning skills ;
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines ;
  • Ability to carry out follow-ups and controls ;
  • Be customer service and results oriented ;
  • Interpersonal communications ;
  • Team spirit.
