The Associate will play a critical role in shaping the financial narrative and performance strategy of Carmel Partners' multifamily real estate funds. This position goes beyond core investor reporting and cash planning-it offers the opportunity to lead fund-level analytics and deliver high-impact insights that inform decisions at the highest levels of the firm.

What you'll do
- Lead the preparation and refinement of quarterly fund-level valuation models and return analyses
- Oversee the assembly of Limited Partner reports, capital account statements, and investor presentation materials
- Drive fund cash-flow forecasting, including disposition planning, capital calls, distributions, subscription-line usage, and commitment pacing
- Ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy within the Investor Management System (Juniper Square)
- Monitor fund covenants and financial commitments, delivering variance analyses and actionable recommendations to senior leadership
- Develop and enhance financial models to support fundraising, portfolio strategy, and executive decision-making
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Capital Markets, Asset Management, and Investor Relations to validate assumptions and align on key inputs
- Deliver high-impact ad-hoc analyses and special projects for senior stakeholders and investors
- Champion process improvements and documentation to elevate reporting efficiency and scalability
- Take full ownership of assigned deliverables, proactively communicating progress, risks, and insights
- Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members, fostering development and ensuring quality execution

- Proven ability to communicate complex financial insights clearly and confidently to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders

Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline; MBA or CPA strongly preferred
- 4+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, fund management, real estate private equity, investment banking, or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to influence strategic outcomes
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling expertise; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with investor management platforms such as Juniper Square
- Strong understanding of GAAP and fund accounting principles , with the ability to apply them in complex fund structures and strategic planning
- Proven ability to translate complex data into strategic insights and compelling narratives for senior leadership and investor audiences
- Exceptional communication skills-written and verbal-with a focus on clarity, precision, and executive presence
- Highly organized and adept at managing multiple high-impact initiatives in fast-paced environments
- A collaborative leader with a track record of building cross-functional relationships and driving alignment across teams
Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range for this position is $135,000 to $145,000 . The Company provides this compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that, in good faith, it believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. Total compensation for this role also includes a bonus incentive in addition to the base salary. The Company reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
