Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyors, pallet jacks).
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all machinery operates in compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new warehouse equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Support inventory management and logistics operations as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and management to ensure efficient warehouse functioning.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in safety and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a warehouse technician, maintenance mechanic, or similar role.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various types of warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a logistics environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with the importance and proper use of PPE.
- Good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Must be reliable and detail-oriented.
