We are hiring a Forklift Operator for our growing warehouse in Boise, Idaho. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to manage the movement of goods throughout our facility. This position is integral to our logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate handling of inventory. The successful candidate will possess excellent forklift driving skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively with the warehouse team. Attention to detail is key in maintaining inventory integrity and preventing damage to products. You will be expected to perform daily checks on equipment and maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others. This role involves regular lifting and maneuvering of various materials, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations.
- Follow all shipping and receiving procedures accurately.
- Work effectively with other team members to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Strictly adhere to all safety policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Engage in tasks requiring manual lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- Certified Forklift Operator with demonstrated experience.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety procedures and logistics.
- Ability to perform lifting and maneuvering of materials.
- Commitment to safety and the consistent use of PPE.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
- Detail-oriented and reliable with a strong work ethic.
