We are actively recruiting for a Picker/Packer position at our Omaha, Nebraska facility. This role is fundamental to our daily logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately assembled and prepared for dispatch. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for efficiently locating products within our warehouse, verifying quantities, and meticulously packing them to ensure they arrive at their destination in pristine condition. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and have a proven commitment to workplace safety. You will be expected to utilize appropriate PPE and adhere to all safety regulations. This position requires physical stamina, including the capacity for regular lifting and the ability to stand for prolonged periods. We offer a competitive hourly wage and a supportive work environment. Prior experience in a similar role is beneficial, but we provide comprehensive training for dedicated individuals. Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve products from warehouse locations based on order specifications.
- Inspect products for quality and quantity accuracy before packing.
- Package items securely and efficiently, ensuring protection during transit.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed productivity and quality targets.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as required.
- Follow all established logistics and warehouse procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Previous experience in a picking or packing role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Basic understanding of logistics operations is a plus.
- Willingness to follow all safety instructions and contribute to a safe workplace.
