We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to manage inventory accuracy and efficiency at our Orlando, Florida distribution center. This crucial role involves overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including cycle counting, discrepancy resolution, and implementing strategies to minimize stockouts and overages. You will work closely with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure data integrity and optimal stock levels. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control best practices is essential. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving capabilities. While primarily a desk-based role, occasional Lifting of inventory samples may be required, and appropriate PPE will be provided. Your contribution is vital to the success of our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the WMS.
- Develop and implement improved inventory control procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless inventory flow.
- Train staff on inventory management best practices and Safety protocols.
- Generate reports on inventory accuracy, turns, and other key metrics.
