We are seeking an experienced Material Handler for our Seattle, Washington facility. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout our warehouse. Your duties will include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods, as well as organizing inventory and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. This position demands physical stamina, the ability to perform frequent heavy Lifting, and a strong commitment to safety. All associates are required to use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow strict safety protocols. Experience operating forklifts and a valid certification are essential for this role. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload materials.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and stack inventory in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform regular equipment checks and basic maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counting.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment issues promptly.
- Support the logistics team in achieving operational targets.
- Be prepared for and capable of significant Lifting and physical exertion.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Material Handler.
- Valid forklift certification and proven operating experience.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting and other physically demanding tasks.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Knowledge of Logistics and material handling best practices.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
