We are looking for a motivated Material Handler to join our busy warehouse in San Jose, California. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the movement of goods within our facility. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and store materials. You will also be responsible for organizing inventory, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout our logistics operations. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks involving heavy Lifting. Safety is our utmost priority, and all team members are required to adhere strictly to safety protocols and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Previous experience operating forklifts and a valid certification are essential. We are committed to fostering a productive and safe workplace. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into warehouse storage.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and stack materials in designated storage locations.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Support the overall efficiency of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Must be able to handle frequent and substantial Lifting requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler, preferably in a warehouse setting.
- Valid forklift operator certification and experience.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Physical ability to perform heavy Lifting and other manual tasks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Knowledge of Logistics and material flow principles.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
