Our logistics company in Boston, Massachusetts, is seeking experienced Shipping & Receiving Associates to manage the critical flow of goods into and out of our facility. This role is central to maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring timely deliveries. You will be responsible for accurately processing all inbound and outbound shipments, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining an organized dock area. If you have a strong background in warehouse operations and a commitment to excellence, this is a prime opportunity to contribute to our successful logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and accurately document all incoming shipments, verifying contents against orders.
- Process outbound shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products according to customer specifications.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently and safely.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment with proficiency and adherence to Safety standards (certification required).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free shipping and receiving area.
- Manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading and tracking information.
- Coordinate with transportation carriers to schedule pickups and resolve any issues.
- Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and assist in maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Implement and enforce all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support the logistics team in achieving operational efficiency and accuracy targets.
- Perform duties involving frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Shipping & Receiving role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proficiency with RF scanning equipment and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and carrier procedures.
- Experience operating forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) and valid certification.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform tasks involving physical exertion, including significant Lifting.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety and teamwork.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and able to work flexible hours as needed.
