Are you detail-oriented and enjoy being part of a productive team? Our logistics company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is looking for a dedicated Order Picker to join our warehouse operations. As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our customers receive their correct orders accurately and on time. This role requires a focus on efficiency and precision as you navigate our warehouse, selecting items from shelves and preparing them for the next stage of the logistics process. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on customer order sheets or electronic pick lists.
- Use scanning equipment to track picked items and update inventory records.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details to minimize errors.
- Transport picked items to the packing and staging areas.
- Maintain an organized and clean work station.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with stocking and replenishment of inventory as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics and fulfillment processes.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to improving workflow.
- Perform tasks involving moderate Lifting and movement of goods.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product codes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good manual dexterity and the ability to work at a steady pace.
- Comfortable performing tasks involving significant Lifting and bending.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety procedures.
- Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
