We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data, ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for tracking inventory levels, conducting audits, and resolving discrepancies. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records across all warehouse locations.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by identifying root causes.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate with warehouse operations and logistics teams to ensure efficient material flow.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
- Implement and maintain a strict Safety culture, including the correct use of PPE.
- Understand and follow guidelines for manual handling and Lifting of inventory items.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology effectively.
- Train other staff members on inventory control best practices.
- Prepare reports on inventory accuracy, adjustments, and related metrics.
The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong organizational abilities, and a thorough understanding of inventory management principles. Experience with WMS software and a background in logistics or supply chain management are highly preferred.
