Join our team as a Material Handler in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a crucial role in managing the movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting materials efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials onto and from trucks, conveyors, and other transportation methods.
- Move materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other mechanical aids.
- Stage materials for shipping and receiving processes.
- Operate material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
- Inspect equipment before and after use, reporting any issues immediately.
- Stack and organize materials to ensure optimal space utilization and accessibility.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through proper material handling.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Follow all guidelines related to manual handling and Lifting, which may involve heavy items.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics operations by ensuring timely movement of materials.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions focused on improving warehouse productivity and safety standards.
- Keep the work area clean and free from obstructions.
We are looking for candidates with a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
