We are seeking a reliable Order Picker to join our team in Washington, D.C. This role is fundamental to our distribution center's success, focusing on accurately and efficiently retrieving items to fulfill customer orders. You will be responsible for locating products, picking them using RF scanners, and preparing them for shipment. Ensuring the accuracy of orders and maintaining an organized workspace are key duties. This position is integral to our logistics operations, requiring individuals with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety. Adherence to all safety guidelines and the proper use of PPE is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners and pick lists.
- Locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves and storage areas.
- Verify product information and quantities during the picking process.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Perform inventory checks and report any discrepancies.
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed to support logistics operations.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and technology like RF scanners.
- Understanding of basic logistics and inventory management principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and listening skills.
- Commitment to safety and consistent use of PPE.
