Join our team in Huntsville, Alabama, as a Material Handler. This position is critical for ensuring the smooth flow of materials within our facility. You will be responsible for moving, organizing, and tracking raw materials and finished goods. This involves operating various types of equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a safe and organized workspace. A thorough understanding of logistics and a commitment to safety, including the mandatory use of PPE, are essential. This role is key to our production and distribution efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials and products.
- Transport materials throughout the facility using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Stage materials for production or shipping departments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including locations and quantities.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure the quality and condition of materials.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as needed.
- Support overall logistics operations by ensuring materials are readily available.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and inventory management systems.
- Strong understanding of logistics and material flow.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliable and committed to punctuality.
