Job Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, responsible for accurately recording, checking, and storing delivered goods. Your attention to detail will ensure that our inventory is precise and that all deliveries are processed efficiently. This position is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our supply chain. The ideal candidate is organized, responsible, and possesses a strong understanding of warehouse operations. Experience with inventory management systems and a commitment to Safety are highly valued. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and will need to be able to handle physical tasks, including some Lifting. We prioritize a safe working environment, and all employees are expected to follow strict Safety guidelines and utilize the provided PPE. Your contribution will directly impact our operational efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately.
  • Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
  • Verify received items against purchase orders and invoices.
  • Record all incoming inventory using warehouse management systems.
  • Stock received items in their designated locations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding deliveries.
  • Adhere to all warehouse Safety protocols.
  • Must be able to perform moderate Lifting tasks.
  • Assist with inventory counts as needed.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a similar warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
