Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in St. Louis, Missouri? We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other industrial equipment to move, load, unload, and store materials within our warehouse. You will play a critical part in the efficient flow of goods, ensuring accuracy in inventory management and timely movement of products. Adherence to strict safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) and other warehouse equipment to move pallets and materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport goods to and from storage areas, production areas, and shipping docks.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by ensuring proper placement and scanning of goods.
- Assist in receiving, order picking, and shipping functions as needed.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Follow all logistics procedures for material handling and storage.
- Perform tasks that require significant physical exertion and lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Knowledge of material handling equipment and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
