Are you skilled in maintenance and operations? Our San Diego, California warehouse is looking for a Warehouse Technician to join our essential logistics team. This role focuses on maintaining the operational integrity of our warehouse equipment and facilities. You will be responsible for preventative maintenance, repairs, and ensuring all machinery runs efficiently and safely. Your expertise will directly contribute to minimizing downtime and ensuring the smooth flow of goods. This is a hands-on position requiring technical proficiency and a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence within our logistics hub.
Responsibilities:
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyors, pallet jacks).
- Conducting safety inspections and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
- Maintaining detailed logs of maintenance and repair activities.
- Assisting with the installation of new equipment.
- Ensuring the warehouse facility is well-maintained and organized.
- Adhering to all safety protocols, including the use of PPE, and promoting a safety-conscious culture.
- Supporting the logistics team with equipment readiness.
- Managing spare parts inventory for critical equipment.
- Responding promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals. Must possess certification or experience operating forklifts. Ability to perform moderate lifting, up to 50 lbs. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Must be able to work independently and manage time effectively. A strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to logistics standards is critical.
