Job Summary:
Are you detail-oriented and passionate about maintaining accurate inventory records? We are looking for a proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our growing team in Seattle, Washington. This role is essential for optimizing warehouse efficiency and ensuring that our stock levels are precise and up-to-date. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing inventory adjustments, and implementing best practices for inventory management. You will play a key role in reducing stockouts, minimizing overstock, and improving overall warehouse performance. This position offers a challenging yet rewarding environment for individuals skilled in data analysis and warehouse operations. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to fulfill orders accurately and meet customer demands effectively.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by reconciling records with physical counts.
  • Manage inventory adjustments, including receiving, transfers, and write-offs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory data in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyze inventory reports to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory items.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and sales, to ensure inventory needs are met.
  • Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to minimize obsolescence and spoilage.
  • Promote a culture of safety and adherence to all warehouse procedures, including the correct use of PPE and equipment.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform tasks requiring physical stamina.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following safety protocols.
