We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our fast-paced distribution center in Miami, Florida. This role is critical to the efficient movement of goods within our logistics facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials. Your proficiency in maneuvering equipment and handling various types of freight is essential. You will also assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including order picking and put-away. A strong commitment to safety, adherence to operational procedures, and maintaining equipment are key responsibilities. We require valid forklift certification and proven experience. Our company prioritizes a safe working environment; comprehensive training on safety protocols and all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move inventory.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Stack and stage merchandise in designated areas.
- Conduct daily pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with order picking, put-away, and replenishment tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Follow all company logistics and warehouse procedures.
- Properly document all movement of goods and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and the use of PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and demonstrable experience.
- Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
