Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with inventory and finished goods.
- Transport materials from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to shipping docks.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment before and after use, documenting any issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of forklift usage and inventory movements.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, and company policies.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as order picking or packing.
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure the accuracy of stock.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized, and free from hazards to promote Safety.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and material handling procedures.
- Ability to perform tasks involving significant physical activity, including Lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Excellent knowledge of Safety best practices and procedures.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
