Are you detail-oriented and seeking a challenging role in inventory management? Our Orlando, Florida facility is looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to oversee and optimize our warehouse stock. This critical position ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory through meticulous tracking, auditing, and reconciliation processes. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining efficient inventory control procedures, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring optimal stock levels to support our logistics operations. This role involves analyzing inventory data, identifying trends, investigating discrepancies, and developing solutions to prevent future issues. A strong understanding of warehouse processes, coupled with analytical skills, is essential. While this role may involve some physical tasks, including occasional Lifting, the primary focus is on data accuracy and procedural compliance. You will work closely with warehouse associates, supervisors, and other departments to ensure seamless operations. Adherence to all Safety guidelines and the proper use of PPE is expected in any areas where physical inventory handling occurs. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using WMS software.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Implement and refine inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and forecast needs.
- Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure accurate stock movements.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce shrinkage and obsolescence.
- Train warehouse staff on inventory management best practices.
- Ensure compliance with Safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Generate reports on inventory status, movement, and accuracy.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to understand and enforce Safety protocols.
- Experience with some physical inventory tasks and Lifting is beneficial.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
