$127,330 - $157,889 / year minimum starting pay
Job Level: Manager
Location: Columbia, Missouri (On-site, Full-time)
Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.
What You Will Be Doing:
Lead a team of analytics professionals and data-driven insights to support business decision-making. Manage analytics projects, collaborate with stakeholders, and deliver actionable recommendations.
What We're Looking For: Bachelor's or Master's degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience (8+ years) in analytics, with a focus on leveraging data to drive insights and support business decisions typically required. Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in managing a team of analytics professionals. Proficiency in statistical analysis, data manipulation, and data visualization using tools such as Python, R, SQL, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Experience with Github, dbtLabs is desired. Experience with Data Catalog & lineage tool is desired. Solid understanding of analytical techniques, such as regression analysis, predictive modeling, clustering, and segmentation. Experience working with large and complex datasets, including data extraction, cleaning, and transformation. Familiarity with insurance industry practices and metrics, including underwriting, claims, and risk management, is preferred. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to translate business questions into analytical approaches. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex analytical concepts to stakeholders at various levels. Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
