Long-term care pharmacy looking to hire a motivated, full-time PHARMACIST.
The job functions of the PHARMACIST include, but aren’t limited to:
* Verification of new and reordered medication and treatment orders.
* Screening for drug interactions, allergies, and appropriate medication therapy.
* Communicate with management, co-workers, prescribers, nurses, and administration at our nursing facilities.
* Enter, verify, and potentially compound sterile and non-sterile compounded orders.
* Provide final review of drug orders and prescriptions.
* Verify medication canisters prior to entry into the DOSIS machine.
* Verify medications that will be loaded into Pyxis machines.
* Assist in maintaining the inventory of the pharmacy, including a perpetual inventory of schedule II medications.
* Knowledge of federal and state laws governing the practice of pharmacy.
The PHARMACIST must possess these key skills and attributes:
Punctual, Patient Safety, Quality Assurance, Pharmacy Professional Practice, Customer Service, Workflow Management, Sound Judgement, Works Independent, Time Management, Leadership
Requirements:
Registered Pharmacist or Pharm.D
Active Alabama pharmacy license in good standing with the board of pharmacy
Preferred, but not required qualifications:
Experience in FRAMEWORK Operating system, sterile compounding experience, Long Term Care Experience
