2. Program Management Develop and maintain a vision for the Prospect Development, Analytics, and Reporting functions. Oversee structure and design for all of Riley Children’s Foundation’s data models. Co-manage SQL Server functionality with the Manager, Data Platforms. Working with the Fundraising Data Analyst, serve as a central resource for SQL Server and SSRS. Develop, deploy, and maintain a data warehouse. Design and maintain a structured communications plan for the team that defines how insights, trends, and learnings are regularly shared with Development, Leadership, and cross-functional partners to drive alignment, understanding, and informed decision-making. Oversee the Analytics, Reporting, Prospect Development, and related queues. 3. Project Management Working with the Fundraising Data Analyst, manage intake of all new analytical requests, including performing discovery. Apply Product management practices to data, analytics, and systems initiatives—defining business requirements, prioritizing work based on value and readiness, managing dependencies and risk, and ensuring solutions evolve alongside organizational needs. Serve as Project Manager for high priority Analytics, Prospect Development projects, and some cross functional projects as assigned by the AVP, Business Intelligence & Data Strategy. 4. Analytics and Reporting Proactive & Ad-Hoc Analyses:
Establish standards and frameworks for building both proactive and ad-hoc analyses, ensuring analytical outputs are purposeful, repeatable where appropriate, and aligned to strategic fundraising questions. Predictive Models:
Guide the development of predictive and advanced analytical models by defining use cases, inputs, validation expectations, and implementation plans. Data Visualization:
Set the strategy and standards for dashboard development, determining audience, intent, and design principles to ensure dashboards function as decision-support tools rather than static reports. Reporting & List Pulls:
Define the strategic approach to reporting and list pulls, distinguishing standardized outputs to reduce manual effort while maintaining data quality and consistency. Metric Program:
Partner with the AVP, Business Intelligence & Data Strategy to operationalize the metric strategy by embedding defined measures into analytics, dashboards, and reporting used across the organization. Segmentation Program:
Partner with the AVP, Business Intelligence & Data Strategy to implement segmentation strategy by translating defined segments into analytical products, reporting, and list pulls as needed. 5. Prospect Development Prospect Identification Program:
Working with the Prospect Development Manager, lead the design and evolution of prospect identification frameworks that leverage ratings, engagement signals, screenings, and analytics to proactively build and refresh prospect pools aligned with pipeline, portfolio, and campaign priorities. Prospect Research Program:
Working with the Prospect Development Manager, set the strategic direction for prospect research programs, ensuring research approaches, tools, and outputs are aligned to organizational goals and translated into clear, actionable insights that inform relationship strategy and fundraising decision-making. Relationship Management & Portfolio Optimization Strategy:
Define and govern data-informed frameworks for relationship management and portfolio optimization, establishing standards for portfolio composition, prospect movement, and prioritization that enable consistent, high-impact execution by the Prospect Development Manager and Prospect Development Analyst in support of frontline fundraisers. Pipeline:
Working with the AVP, Business Intelligence & Data Strategy, implement the pipeline and portfolio strategy through analytics, predictive modeling, and prospect intelligence—supporting prospect identification, prioritization, qualification, and movement in alignment with organizational goals and best practices. 6. Training Develop and maintain an Analytics and Prospect Development Training program and work with the team to execute the vision. Provide training as needed to support newly developed solutions or strategic additions/changes to Analytics/Reporting/Prospect Development tools. 7. Administrative Meetings : Prepare for and actively participate in all Riley Children’s Foundation meetings as appropriate. Ensure expectations and tools for meeting agendas and follow-up are implemented. Budget : Work with your officer/direct manager to develop, manage and monitor the budget, staying within overall budget guidelines. Technology : Understand and effectively use the technology available at the Riley Children’s Foundation. Compliance : Ensure strict compliance with all Foundation policies, as well as local, state and federal laws that govern business practices. 8. Other Duties as Assigned Team member : Work as a team member and assist others in day-to-day operations as deemed helpful by providing support for fundraising efforts. Riley Children’s Foundation events : Participate in Riley Children’s Foundation Events as requested. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience. Education : Bachelor’s degree required. Demonstrated ongoing and relevant technical training. Experience : Five to seven years of experience working in analytics, prospect development, or relevant field. Understanding of relational databases required. Experience with designing and implementing Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, SQL Server/querying databases, SSRS, and predictive analytics preferred. Ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple technology projects on time and within budget and the ability to communicate with and understand the needs of non-technical Foundation staff. Previous experience managing a technical team a plus. Skills : Ability to interact with others, both in person and through phone, email, and written correspondence. Solid verbal and written communication skills. Sensitivity to needs of donors. Must handle confidential information in a discreet way. Problem solving capabilities and strong initiative to identify problems and propose solutions independently. Ability to multi-task and prioritize a heavy workload. Strong attention to detail and organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products with a key focus on Word, Excel and Outlook; experience with SharePoint is a plus .
Advanced skills in Excel and database queries. Experience with central fundraising database systems required.
