Warehouse Associate I

Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate I position is responsible for picking bulk materials for production, picking finished goods for delivery to customers, stocking shelves, maintaining warehouse organization, and supporting general warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Stock raw material goods from receiving into warehouse inventory
• Pick raw materials according to the production plan and deliver to designated warehouse areas
• Stock finished goods from production into assigned shelving locations
• Process returns from internal and external customers
• Process and complete orders based on customer requirements
• Count products prior to shipment and compare against packing slips
• Inspect shipments for damage, infestation, or expiration dates
• Report shortages, damages, or incorrect picks to warehouse supervisors
• Verify contents of all outgoing orders
• Compare quantity, quality, labeling, and shipping information with customer orders to ensure accuracy
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety standards
• Follow all company standard operating procedures
• Assist with special projects and additional warehouse duties as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous warehouse experience preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work overtime when required
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and internet use
• Experience with warehouse management systems or RF scanners preferred
• Forklift or warehouse logistics experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, and reach throughout the workday
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs
• Ability to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, or scaffolding
• Ability to walk long distances within the warehouse
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
• Ability to push, pull, or move objects using sustained force
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
