Job Summary:

The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for managing the day-to-day shipping operations. This role involves preparing Shopify orders for shipment (picking, packing, shipping), ensuring all protocols are followed; handling pickups and drop-offs, filling out international customs forms; taking inventory; and, managing the receipt and storage of goods.

Responsibilities:

• Order Preparation (Pick, Pack & Ship):  Prepare all Shopify orders for shipment, ensuring proper protocol is followed for each order based on products included, their destination, and shipping carrier.
• Daily Shipping and Drop-off:  Drop packages ready for shipment off at USPS, UPS, & FedEx. When needed, prepare (and handoff) items for pickup by the carrier at a specified time.
• Customs Documentation:  Fill out international customs forms and paperwork to ensure packages are handled properly.
• Inventory Management:  Take inventory regularly to ensure accuracy and availability of stock.
• Receiving Goods : Receive, count, and store goods in the warehouse according to company standards.
• Team Collaboration:  Work closely with the logistics team to ensure smooth operations and address any shipping-related issues that may arise.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in order fulfillment, retail, shipping, logistics, or a related field
• Must have Access to a personal vehicle
• Familiarity with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms
• Quick learner on using new web applications
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy packages
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Hours: 5 hours a day, 5 days a week

Compensation: Hourly Rate: $18.00 -$20.00 per hour

Work Schedule: Part-time, 25 hours per week

Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly

Paid Time Off (PTO): 5 days of paid vacation

Sick Days: 5 days (per New York State law)

Benefits: Paid Time Off (PTO) including vacation and sick leave

Monday-Friday 8:30am - 2pm, or as adjusted by supervisor
