Join our innovative team in Nashville, Tennessee, as a Warehouse Technician! In this specialized role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of warehouse equipment and machinery, ensuring our logistics operations run smoothly and safely. You will perform routine inspections, troubleshoot technical issues, and conduct necessary repairs on forklifts, conveyor systems, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), and other warehouse machinery. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, along with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to Safety. The ideal candidate is a skilled problem-solver, able to work independently and diagnose issues effectively. Your expertise will be vital in minimizing downtime and ensuring the reliability of our warehouse operations. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and you will be responsible for ensuring all equipment meets stringent Safety standards and that proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is utilized during all maintenance activities. This role may involve tasks that require moderate to heavy Lifting of parts and components. Your contribution to maintaining our equipment directly impacts the overall efficiency of our Logistics and the productivity of our warehouse staff. We value proactive maintenance and continuous improvement in our technical operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on all warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyors, sorters, lifts).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications and company Safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunction calls and emergencies.
- Install and test new equipment as needed.
- Order and manage spare parts inventory.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and proper use of PPE during maintenance tasks.
- Assist in improving the efficiency and reliability of warehouse Logistics systems through technical expertise.
- Contribute to a culture of Safety and proactive problem-solving.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with troubleshooting and repair of warehouse machinery.
- Understanding of Safety procedures and the ability to enforce them.
- Familiarity with Logistics equipment and operations.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting and physical dexterity.
- Proficiency in using relevant tools and equipment, and the correct application of PPE.
- Technical certifications (e.g., forklift mechanic) are a strong plus.
