Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify quantities and item numbers of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming merchandise for any damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately document all received items using the warehouse management system.
- Stage received goods for put-away by other warehouse personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and warehouse guidelines, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate with procurement and logistics teams regarding discrepancies or issues with incoming shipments.
- Perform occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a related warehouse/logistics role.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift items as required.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Safety Emphasis:
