Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team at a busy distribution center in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the movement, storage, and organization of materials within the warehouse. Your efforts will directly impact the efficiency and accuracy of our logistics operations. We prioritize a safe working environment and expect all employees to actively contribute to maintaining high Safety standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
  • Sort and organize materials, ensuring accurate placement in designated storage areas.
  • Transport materials throughout the warehouse using manual equipment like pallet jacks, or powered equipment as trained.
  • Prepare materials for shipment, including picking, packing, and staging.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work environment, ensuring adherence to Safety guidelines.
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks safely and efficiently after proper training.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts and assist with stocktaking as needed.
  • Adhere to all company Safety policies and the mandatory use of required PPE.
  • Identify and report any potential Safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
  • Assist with Loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Engage in regular Lifting and moving of products, often weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Understand and follow all established logistics procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving regular Lifting and moving of goods up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of basic warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Commitment to workplace Safety and following all established procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and operate various warehouse equipment.
