Join our team as an Inventory Control Specialist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our warehouse stock. We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to manage and control all aspects of inventory. Your primary focus will be to ensure accurate stock levels, minimize discrepancies, and optimize inventory processes. This position requires a strong understanding of inventory management principles and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating stock variances, implementing corrective actions, and reporting on inventory status. A key aspect of this role involves ensuring the proper handling and storage of goods to prevent damage and loss. Compliance with safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE and safe Lifting techniques, is paramount. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations and requires a dedicated individual who thrives in a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately track and manage inventory levels across all warehouse locations.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Analyze inventory data and generate reports on stock levels, turnover, and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient flow of goods.
  • Identify and report on slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
  • Ensure proper labeling, stocking, and organization of all inventory items.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Train other staff on inventory management best practices and safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized stockroom.
  • Support the Logistics department with inventory-related information.
  • Must be capable of moderate to heavy Lifting.
