We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Associate to join our growing team in Washington, D.C. This role is fundamental to our distribution center's success, ensuring that goods are handled, stored, and moved efficiently. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be involved in a variety of tasks, including receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and shipping. We pride ourselves on a safe and productive work environment, where adherence to safety guidelines and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are paramount. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Stock received goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely (training provided).
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
- Assist in shipping and loading outgoing orders.
- Contribute to overall logistics efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a warehouse or similar environment is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic inventory control.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety and the use of PPE.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
