Are you a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator? We have an immediate opening in our San Francisco, California warehouse! In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move materials efficiently and safely throughout our facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory, and staging goods for shipment. A strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety procedures, and a commitment to protecting yourself and others with PPE are essential. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials.
- Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles and trailers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage and staging areas.
- Perform pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure operational readiness and safety.
- Maintain accurate logs of forklift usage and material movements.
- Follow all warehouse Safety protocols and procedures meticulously.
- Use appropriate PPE at all times while on the warehouse floor.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks, including order picking and packing, as needed, especially those requiring manual Lifting.
- Contribute to the smooth functioning of our logistics operations.
- Participate in ongoing Safety training and team meetings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with relevant certifications.
- Proficiency in operating multiple types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety standards and practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional heavy Lifting.
- Understanding of material handling and logistics principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to Safety.
- Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively.
- Must be reliable and able to work the scheduled shifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
