You will be responsible for picking products from various locations within the warehouse and preparing them for shipment. This includes accurately identifying items, quantities, and ensuring they are correctly packaged to prevent damage during transit. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, efficient, and have a keen eye for detail. Your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced distribution center environment is essential. This position involves considerable physical activity, including bending, reaching, and lifting items weighing up to 45 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Pick items from warehouse locations based on order tickets or electronic lists.
- Accurately count and verify picked items against order requirements.
- Package selected items securely and efficiently for shipment, selecting appropriate packing materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Conduct quality checks on picked and packed items to ensure they meet standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding warehouse area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Operate material handling equipment as needed.
- Meet productivity goals for picking and packing.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is beneficial.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capability of lifting up to 45 lbs consistently.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting order forms.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in picking and packing.
- Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills in a logistics setting.
