We are hiring a Receiving Clerk for our Sacramento, California warehouse. In this essential role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our receiving process. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, inspecting deliveries for damage or discrepancies, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and accurately entering data into our inventory system. Maintaining a clean and organized receiving area is crucial for operational flow and safety. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding our high standards for inventory management and logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks and trailers using appropriate equipment.
- Inspect all received goods for damage, shortages, or incorrect items.
- Accurately document all received items, including quantities and product details.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS) promptly and accurately.
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock area.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety protocols and procedures.
- Wear all required PPE , including safety vests, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and data entry.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics .
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
