Join our team as a Picker/Packer in our busy distribution center located in Fort Worth, Texas. This role is fundamental to ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets and then carefully packing them for shipment. This requires a sharp eye for detail, efficiency, and a commitment to quality. You will work with various products and use our advanced scanning technology to ensure precise order fulfillment. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. We emphasize a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items according to customer orders using pick lists and RF scanners.
- Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently using appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages accurately for shipment.
- Stage packed orders for carrier pickup.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and PPE requirements.
- Meet or exceed picking and packing productivity standards.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and safe team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Basic reading and comprehension skills.
- Team-oriented and able to follow instructions.
- Commitment to workplace safety and use of PPE.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehousing principles.
