Job Summary:
Are you a proven leader with a passion for efficient warehouse operations? We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to manage and oversee daily activities at our Milwaukee, Wisconsin distribution center. This pivotal role involves leading a team of warehouse associates, ensuring productivity targets are met, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. You will be instrumental in optimizing workflow, managing resources effectively, and implementing best practices in logistics and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse operations, and a commitment to employee development and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
  • Ensure efficient receipt, storage, picking, and shipping of goods according to established procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of operational efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Implement and enforce all company policies, including safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and safety information.
  • Train and mentor new and existing employees on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
  • Manage inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Oversee the maintenance and safe operation of warehouse equipment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including safe lifting techniques and the proper use of equipment.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse supervision or a similar leadership role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and other relevant technology.
  • Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring adherence to all safety guidelines.
  • Experience with training and developing staff.
