This role is vital for ensuring that all outbound shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all shipping regulations. As a Shipping Clerk, your duties will include preparing shipping labels, verifying order details against shipping documents, and coordinating with carriers for pickup. You will be responsible for ensuring that all packages are properly packed, labeled, and manifested for timely departure. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and documentation is essential. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure smooth transitions from order fulfillment to shipment. We are dedicated to maintaining a safe working environment. All employees are required to adhere to stringent safety standards, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You will receive thorough training on safety protocols relevant to the shipping and logistics industry. While this role is primarily administrative, it may involve some light lifting and moving of packages. However, the primary focus is on organization, accuracy, and communication. Responsibilities:
- Generate and apply shipping labels accurately.
- Verify order details against shipping manifests and bills of lading.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for shipment pickups.
- Ensure packages are correctly packed and secured for transit.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
- Communicate with internal departments and external carriers regarding shipments.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear designated PPE.
- Assist in resolving shipping discrepancies.
- Process return shipments as needed.
- Keep the shipping area organized and well-maintained.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Previous experience in shipping or logistics is highly desirable.
- Commitment to workplace safety standards.
